Muse is a consumer-facing discovery platform founded by Kasey Boyle, a solo founder on a mission to destigmatize Botox and empower people with reliable information and access in the aesthetic medicine industry. Muse helps users discover credible and trustworthy Botox injectors, making the process safer, easier, and more transparent.

Kasey’s core insight was simple but powerful: while demand for aesthetic procedures is growing, users often struggle to identify high-quality injectors they can trust. The market is fragmented, word-of-mouth is unreliable, and poor decisions can have lasting consequences. Muse set out to become the go-to platform for trusted Botox discovery—and needed a product partner to bring this to life.

The Challenge

Muse, as a consumer-tech platform in a sensitive and trust-driven category, faced several key challenges:

  • Establishing User Trust: As a new entrant, Muse needed to earn user trust from day one through thoughtful UX, language, and positioning.
  • Matching Users to Injectors: Building an intelligent, relevant matching system between users and the right injectors was a critical functional and product challenge.
  • Curating a Quality Injector Network: The platform required a robust, credible database of injectors to offer meaningful value to users—something that didn’t exist off-the-shelf.

Tequity partnered with Casey from the earliest stages to build a thoughtful, design-forward, and scalable solution that met both functional needs and user expectations.

Key initiatives included:

  • Designing for Trust and Clarity: Tequity worked closely with Casey over a four-week design sprint to create a clean, intuitive, and confidence-inspiring user experience. Backed by user research and U.S.-specific design sensibilities, the site was built to resonate with the core target audience—those seeking quality aesthetic care without risk.
  • Engineering for Performance: The engineering team focused on building a fast, lightweight, and scalable frontend. Seamless transitions, minimal load times, and responsive mobile performance were prioritized to ensure an excellent user experience.
  • Building the Injector Database Using AI: To solve for supply, Tequity used AI-powered tools to scrape injector data from public sources across multiple U.S. cities. The team also built AI-driven modules to summarize reviews and highlight key qualities of each injector—giving users more clarity without the noise.
  • End-to-End Delivery in Six Weeks: The initial platform was designed, built, tested, and launched within six weeks—well within client expectations. Post-launch, Tequity assembled a long-term team consisting of:
    • 1 Product Manager
    • 1 UI/UX Designer
    • A small engineering team
    • 1 QA Engineer

This team continues to work closely with Kasey on a sprint-by-sprint basis as Muse scales and iterates toward product-market fit.
